Found a crack/crater on my Rem 700 bolt around the firing pin area outlining were the primer/case impacts. I reload 175 gr Nosler/Barnes N150 (43.5 gr), OAL 2.92", case trim 2.011". Is this a manufacturing defect? What is causing this? Is the rifle safe to fire like this? Any help is appreciated.

Stop shooting those rounds. That bolt face damage appears to be caused by excessive pressure. You load data is a max. load per VihtaVuori but would probably be O.K. in a factory Remington chamber if you were not jamming your bullets. If you want to go faster use a different powder and don't jam. If you are using N150 because thats all you have on hand reduce your COAL to 2.80" and take 5% of your load weight out and you will be safe if slow. Your bolt face may is repairable, find a good gunsmith. Good luck.
