I've got a Wilson barrel on my soon-to-practice service rifle, a Krieger barrel going on my new service rifle build, a new Shilen going on a service rifle to loan my dad, a Krieger on my 6 turbo 40 match rifle, and I'm debating on trying out a Criterion for a 223 match rifle build.

The question I have is, what kind of chamber does it have? On creedmoor's site it says "223 rem match" and on Fulton Armory's site it says "Hybrid Match Chamber". Does anyone know what the true chamber specs are?

They have .223 Remington Match chambers that are built around use of the 80gr SMKs loaded to 2.50" COAL, but they'll run the somewhat lighter weight bullets just fine in my experience with them (although I've never run anything lighter than 68gr in any I've had so I can't speak as to anything lighter like 55gr ball, etc., but if you put a 69gr SMK beside an 80gr...you can see a pretty striking difference in OAL so I don't think they shorter stuff will suffer you any ill effects in terms of accuracy). They are extremely accurate barrels capable of holding their own against some of the "bigger" names out there if there's a capable shooter operating the rifle. ;)

Off-topic, but how do you like the 6mm Turbo-40 sir? Also, what load do you run/plan on running and what length is the barrel? Those 6mm Grendel variants are so sweet. Im surprised they havent shown up more in some of the short range benchrest and groundhog matches given the widespread use of the PPC. Im sure they will start to catch on eventually with the bolt-rifle matches though. With the turbo 40, youre basically talking about right at 6mm BR performance.

    Thanks.

Being able to send a 105-108 vld or hybrid at 2850 fps out of an ar-15 platform is pretty awesome. I wouldn't compare it to a 243 AI or something of that nature, but it is a hot little round for the ar platform. My barrel length is 26".

The Criterion website indicates 223 Wylde:

    AR-15 HBAR Contour Barrel

    AR-15 Hybrid Contour Barrel

223 Wylde is also what is stamped on each of my three Criterion barrels (one each of a 20" HBAR, an 18" Hybrid, and a 16" Hybrid).

    My 20" CBI:

    My 18" CBI:

The target is a 10-shot group from 100 yards using handloaded lead-tip Sierra 65gr SBT GameKing hunting bullets from the 18" CBI barrel:

All of my CBI barrels came from Brownells. It's possible that CBI chambers and / or stamps the barrels differently for other dealers. I suggest an e-mail to CBI, as they've always answered my questions in short order.

Most of the barrels Criterion sells ARE in fact Wylde chambered, BUT...their specific A2 Service Rifle barrel (which I "THINK" is the one the OP is describing) is a stainless steel, 1:7.7 twist, button-rifled, hand-lapped barrel with a .223 Remington Match chamber as I described above. If there is any confusion re: the specific chamber beyond that, you probably ought to contact either the retailer you are considering buying from, or Criterion directly. Criterion is generally on top of their comms so I don't think you'll have any issues getting a speedy answer assuming that SHOT isn't keeping them otherwise busy and unavailable.

You are likely correct. My bad for posting irrelevant info.
