Just picked up a new Gen 2 Cronus after selling my Gen I to a friend who wanted it with the rifle I sold him. I knew they changed the internals of the turrets to stainless to make the turrets feel "less mushy". My Gen I was a little mushy when I got it but after removing some of the lube I thought they had a good feel.

Well after using the Gen 2 for a while I find the turrets to be too stiff for my liking. I find that if I try to dial up or down a tenth the turrets are so stiff that to get them to move I often end up spinning/skipping past a tenth.

I call Athlon and asked if they could take a look at it and they said no, that is how they were designed.

Wondering if anyone else having issues with the turrets being too stiff?

Love the stiffer turrets on my G2's as well. Turn your thump sideways on the turret and grab, which will help apply force, not with your finger tips like you do with the G1's and most other scope turrets.

Also don't be put off to dial quickly then back up a click or two.
