Nice example of how being on the clock under that mental stress can totally throw off something that in retrospect, after the stage, seems obvious.
Even more interesting to me is how even with evidence to the contrary (windage misses further and further off as he came back in), your mind can latch on to one causal factor (wind is picking up), when in reality the problem was dialing more and more wind into the scope.
Also liked the part about us as a species having a bias toward learning from negative experiences.
