I know of a gun owner who decrys short barreled ar-10's for the following reasons 1] too loud 2] far to short of range ....he thinks the longer barrel is better but never carried one in the field ....sound of the shorter is louder than longer maybe true because the muzzle is closer to the ears !!!!! ok here is some fresh meat and have fun with this one!!!

+1 Too many man/girls out their. When someone next to me at the range has a loud gun I just focus harder. Actually improves my shooting.

Some sort of ear protection can solve this problem very easy.

Airsoft would be a good recommendation for this person. A Chinese women just won a gold medal with one of those.

I forgot to mention she was wearing ear pro as well.
