I've read elsewhere that you can put a commercial size Magpul CTR on an RRA LAR-8 to have a slop free adjustable stock. Anyone have experience with this?

I tried one of my buddy's commercial size CTR stocks on my LAR-8 tonight and it still had quite abit of wobble even when locked down. Any better options?

I don't really care about it being adjustable but I want a stock that is rock solid and alot shorter than a full length stock. The CTR would be perfect without the wobble.

Not sure if it's compatible with your setup, but the Sully stock comes to mind:

Not sure if that will work or not. I have to use the factory buffer tube because it is alittle bit longer than a standard tube. If I can't find anything I may just have to make a buffer of some sort that takes the slop out of the adjustable stock.
