Guys,

What type of clip-on night vision devices are currently used by the US military? I am only interested in devices suitable for use in front of a scope mounted on precision bolt rifle. Thank you.

You did not mention thermal, pure NV or hybrids. There is a host of pure NV clip-ons used for today's Mil. From FLIR's AN/PVS-22's to PVS-27's to the hybrid ADUNS that is both thermal and NV combined.

Knight has their entries such as the AN/PVS-29 that was awarded from the Army to them in March of 2011. They also have a AN/PVS-22 as well that they produce.

L3 has been supplying the AN/PVS-24 to SOCOM for the short range applications in use with the ACOG and Specter DR. They also have their long range CNVDLR, but not sure if any contracts have been awarded with these as yet. They were in trials a few years back.

There is several more out there in the thermal world from both companies as well.
