Curtis Axiom Lug thickness

Can someone that owns one give me the thickness of the recoil lug? I am wanting to see if it will drop into a chassis I have. Thank you!

According to the tennon print, the INCLUDED Axiom recoil lug is .250"

Thanks just looked it up and saw that. Hmm do you know if it is single or double pinned? Thinking I can replace it with a PTG lug if it's too thick.

The pin holes are at different locations than ptg ones so don’t bother.

Damn. May be a milling job on the chassis then. Trying to fit it in a Christensen Arms MPR chassis. The lug recess seems to just a hair over 0.25" so a .2" lug is probably what it needs without milling it

You dont really need those pins to run your rifle, you just need to align it so it looks good right? Try and error couple times you should get it good, or OCD is playing you...

not worried about the pins. worried about the recoil lug fitting into the chassis.

Then just get a PTG .2" and bang with it...

Am considering this however I wanted to get a pre-fit barrel so I need to talk to my smith to see if he will accomodate this.

just get the dremel out and shave off the recoil lug pocket. Sounds like you wont need much clearance

Haha I prefer not to hack job a chassis in the event I ever would like to sell it.

In the same vein, you could sand off a few thou from the front of the Axiom recoil lug just under where the barrel shoulder seats.
