who out there makes a good solid custom 8mm match barrel for a semi-auto rifle? more specifically a zastava m76. Do any good barrel makers make solid 8mm barrels?

There are plenty of folks that make good barrels, and most if not all make an 8mm tube.
However, getting one for a Zastava might be a challenge.
I would suggest you track down the dragunov forum and ask there. They may be able to point you to someone with experience rebarreling something like that.
It would probably be cost prohibitive with a distinct possibility of lack of return for the investment. They are good shooters, probably excellent hunting rifles, but not capable of match accuracy. You are limited to what you can do with the barrel, it must be ported for the gas tube and everthing must mate up.
