I put this gun together with a variety of components I had gathered over the past year or so. I put a scope on it and took it to the range once. Lo and behold the thing will shoot (see target). Here's the details on each component:
  • Stainless Remington 700 SA receiver purchased during a Snipers Hide group buy. "RR" prefix
  • XLR Element chassis with Tac Lite buttstock picked up at a PRS prize table last year
  • 20" 308 bull profile barrel that came with a used rifle I purchased 2 years ago. It's stainless, bead blasted, threaded with a thread protector, and marked "GERACI ACCY". A quick Google search seems to indicate a Louisiana based gunsmith named Don Geraci. Prior owner said he shot F-Class with this barrel and estimated 2,000 rounds fired. I do not know the maker of the barrel
  • Seekins 20MOA rail. Rail was bedded to the receiver.
  • Timney Calvin Elite single stage trigger picked up a a PRS prize table. I used it in another build and it is partially painted black. I also added a bolt release from a stock Rem X-Mark trigger to work with the receiver
    • OR substitute a factory Remington 700 X-Mark trigger and save $100
Even though this is a mix-master mutt of a rifle, the bolt locks up nice and tight with very little play. As mentioned, I took it to the range once and put 30 rounds of Federal Gold Medal Match 168g through it. Once scope was zeroed I shot the attached 3 shot group then rang steel out to 1,000yds.

I'm not looking to part it out at this time. It's priced right so if you just want one component, buy it and part it out yourself. Will ship with original XLR Element chassis box. $800/$900 shipped to your FFL in lower 48. Selling to fund other projects. Discrete PP F&F, money order, Zelle, bitcoin, whatever.

Forgot to mention in the listing. Take $100 off if you don't want the Timney trigger and I'll substitute a Remington factory X-Mark Pro trigger

For those wanting to split up the barreled action and XLR chassis, the barrel is 1.25" for four inches, then tapers slightly to 1.035" at the muzzle.
