Custom Routed Case Foam

Yeah I ended up ordering through them for my AW50 foam. Design process took a but to layout, but should be good to go. Even left room for a longer barrel in the future.

that did comemout well. did they have a lot of pre-measured shapes on file - particularly mags, etc, or did you have to spend time figuring that out and communication through?

whats the hard case you went with?

They do for a lot of popular Pelican and SKB cases, along with a selection of pre-configured pistols, rifles, etc. I'm not sure if those can be modified or not. Their website is actually designed rather well overall.

This beast I had to custom-design - all done by hand, unfortunately. No templates available for it. I didn't expect their to me given the rarity of the AW50 in the USA. Took me about 6 hours to lay it all out. I believe I made it a public template though so now someone else could very well use it for the same case.

That is a SKB 3R6218-10B-EW case. Needed it for the depth and width (length was really never a problem with the factory barrel). I'm a big Pelican fan, but they don't make anything large enough without being forced to QD the scope... not exactly something I'd want to do just to make it fit.

Very nice, what kind of cost?

Top lid foam, along with the custom-routed foam plus shipping - $385.

Case itself was $545 (minus a 15 percent discount).

Expensive, but this is one of the largest weapon cases that foam could be made for. Probably looking at half of that cost for a "normal" sized rifle in a "normal" case.
