Has anybody cut down their bases to allow for better eye relief? My bell is getting in the way and I need just that much more to be comfortable.

For those of you that have done it, any tips? How did you clean it up after?

I cut mine with a hacksaw and used a file to clean it up. I was going to use Krylon as a finish, so I didn't get TOO concerned about the final finish of the metal.

Alright! Well I think I'll give it a go tonight. I'm going to use krylon too. It's just good to know someone else has done it. I always start questioning myself when I grab the hacksaw and walk over to my guns...

Do you think it would be outrageous to leave it on the gun? Its aluminum and I can't see it taking too much force to cut it with the hacksaw. It wouldn't kill me to take it off but it would definatly be easier to leave it on.

Dude. You need to take it off the rifle.

But other than that, just do what you have to do to make the gun fit you. Doing it the other way is very expensive and much more painful.
