Does anybody have any thoughts on cutting back a chrome lined barrel? Would accuracy be adversely affected? I'm specifically referring to the effect on te lining, not the effect of the shorter barrel.

Thanks!

Re: Cutting down a chrome lined barrel

The problem you'll have with cutting the chrome lining is that there is the chance of the chrome flaking after it's cut. Having a rough edge on your crown will not do anything but hurt accuracy. Also, what could happen is since the barrel will no longer be protected, rust will start forming.

You could cerakite it, duracoat, maybe have it rechromed...
