I'm seeking recommendations on a barrel for a CZ 457. I currently have a match chambered 457 Manners stock and it groups .5 in. I'm seeking tighter groups of .3 in. I have tried most everything to get the factory barrel to group better. Firing pin, trigger, torque, floating, ammo, etc,

What aftermarket barrel have you tried to get .3 inch accuracy with what chamber (bentz, match, nevius)?

Just for info I'm already shooting .3 inch groups or better with my Vudoo and Bergara with Lapua Center X ammo. So it's NOT the shooter.

I'm wondering about the nevius chamber since it seems similar to what vudoo uses but please offer all suggestions. it would be great if there's someone who has a nevius chambered barrel.

We have tested Match, Bentz, and Nevi and to be honest not much difference with the little testing we have done. The barrel we have seen some larger difference for sure. I havnt dealt with many brands but so far the Krieger was the best groups yet. Always depending on ammo of course, that is the big factor. Which ammo and can you get it. Have not messed with twist rates much, just got into the 22lr.
My personal NRL gun is a Brux barrel 1:16, My buddy has a Hart barrel that shoots great at 1:15. My next project gun for my wife and for testing and sale will be built with a Shilen Ratchet rifled barrel and I think im going to just do the Match chamber, just need to decide on the action and twist rate.
I do hear alot of guys liking the Lilja and Criterion barrels in 22lr.

Precision and accuracy are more than just parts, the process plays a bigger role. That said, I use a Nevious reamer but in a different way than a reamer in conventionally used.
Not to hijack the thread but do you see results change on depth of reamer? depending on what the barrel is for I usually try to ream for the ammo i want to shoot, going along with not reaming as it was intended.

I have tried from .150 down to - .020 in .010 increments, the lesser the depth of engraving accuracy improved. Did not see any positives past .025. Keep in mind, I was looking for a specific outcome in my test not necessarily the best accuracy. Best advice is try it and see what works best for you and your process. Absolutely make sure the ammo you use for the test is of a KNOWN good lot otherwise you will chase your tail.
