    Was trying to find some info on the CheyTac advanced ballistic calculator and there was a link to a website called Gunslot. Anyhow this retard was spewing copious amounts of absolute BS about being in the US Army Ranger core (note the spelling plus no such entity exists) and telling stories about all the people he has killed with the CheyTac weapon system including a 10 foot shot with no sights (truly impressive).

    The guy obviously is a total retard but I recognized at least one screename from this website on the thread so figured I should warn you folks and let you know he isn't representative of real Rangers.

    Though i am sure you have had this problem with your rifle as do most noob or rookie long range shooters do I am a sniper in the US ARMY RANGER core and one of my primary rifles is the M-200 your problem isnt the rifle its you and the ammo lousy ammo whish is sold by the Cheytec because it is cheap can create a build up after 3 rounds that can harm the rifle and second and it is THE most common is you if the recoil movs your body the rifle moves up and back going back to the same problem as the rounds all tht carbon builds up the recoil will move you but you can push fowrad and it should not kick as far back leaving the weapon in a good state. I<span style="font-weight: bold"> am alive because of my rifle after 20 rounds no cleaning time i had to run because we were compromised ext thing i new there was a bad guy right there 10 ft from me i fired it no scoped and it fired fine keep in mind i was on the ground for 3 days taking shots every 5 to 6 hours at enemy high rankers and grunts helping my buddys down below </span>its usually not the weapon its the operator not knowing how to correctly fire it

    Even if I dont know anything about whats being talked about when I see sentance structure and spelling like whats going on in that paragraph my bs meter starts going crazy and i usually stop reading but sometimes i like to go on and read it anyways because sometime you can get alot of entertainment out of it even if it isnt really useful which it could be you never know but just use your own judgement like i do and youll be fine.

    The caliber of people you can find on the internet never ceases to amaze and disappoint me.

    So I'm guessing the reduced diameter of the barrel squeezes the round for increased velocity? What a dumb ass!!! I fucking hate posers!!! They slander those in uniform and it makes me sick!!!

    Mall Ninjas, providing entertainment really. Correct me if i'm wrong, however I believe that I read recently with disgust that a judge struck down the Stolen Valor Act as unconstitutional. Please correct me if i'm wrong on that, I would sleep better if I knew that there was a way to publicly embarrass and punish posers, rather than to let them slide and have them embrace the mall ninja way.

    However, when it comes to the net, everyone is a tough guy, and very few are who they say and/or believe they are. This forum is no exception, however this forum has a large cache of members that are legitimate, and Frank and the rest of the mods IMO do a great job of keeping the stupid out. When I was quite young I went keyboard commando more than a few times (back in the days of newsgroups, chatrooms, and BBS'). I doubt that character is any different.

    The heads up is greatly appreciated, fighting them on their own terf (the interweb) is futile, never argue with an idiot, they'll just drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.

    Lastly, when I started reading this thread, after about the first 2 posts, I thought "get Shankster on this, he'll dig up all sorts of stuff!", good thing I read the whole thread before I hit the reply button. Good job Shank, just don't start searching for me, who knows what you'll dig up from the early 90's!

    It is stupid to fake being a Ranger, of course it is stupid to fake anything!!
    1. Less then 1/2 of the US population serves (last I checked)!
    2. Less then 1% of the Army has a tab and I would bet that less then 1% has served in Regiment or a Ranger Batt..
    It is a small community and one that is easy to check since RTB maintains your "green" cards which is on file if you graduated from Ranger School, I am not sure if they keep a file if you do not pass however?
    With Regiment being small it is always easy to find someone who can vouch for you or deny that you were there!




    and yes,that is a picture of my graduating class at Ranger School.

    328th HRC is an Army Reserve unit by the way

    Just an interesting tid-bit I thought you might like swarrick. My friend in the pictures? He just got back from an overnight mission. I asked him how it went and he said, "Well, I'm still a live." So I said, "So it went great." He said, "a dismount ied went off right next to me, two 82mm mortars, less than 10 meters on a trail."

    This doesn't even begin to cover the number of times he's escaped serious injury and death. He's made of iron, I swear.

    Yep. I'll let him know. He's very very lucky. Recounting all the things he's told me about, I'm not sure how he's still here, but I'm sure glad he is. I'm pretty sure he's going RRC and the idea of him re-enlisting and stuff makes me kind of nervous. :\ Makes me feel like his days are numbered and it breaks my heart.

    My old unit is back in Iraq right now and I still got the urge to be there with them again.

    I have great respect for the Rangers. I was stationed at Ft Benning with 3ID so I saw them quite a bit. My squad leader graduated Ranger school and Im pretty sure he went to a Bat right after I ETS'd.

    This fool should be court martialled.
