Sidearms & Scatterguns Dan Wesson, opinions wanted

Re: Dan Wesson, opinions wanted

Thanks, The Specialist is basicaly a Valor with a rail. I handled a Springfield TRP, Sig 1911 Tac op, Colt Rail Gun. I then picked up a bobbed Valor. No comparison.

Re: Dan Wesson, opinions wanted

I have three, a CBOB 45, a Heritage 45 and a Valor 45. I did have a couple FTC on the CBOB in the first 200 rounds but none in the last 800. The other two have been flawless! I have decided I like shooting the full I've better than the CBOB, but all are great! They will never get sold. Steven

They are top notch, can't go wrong with them. Buy one and you won't be sorry.

Yes you will! Right after you figure out that you just can't buy just one!

Re: Dan Wesson, opinions wanted

Can't wait for the black Specialist to become widely available, I have the black Valor and love it. IMO it is more comparable with guns that cost twice as much and not the ones anywhere near its price range.

Re: Dan Wesson, opinions wanted

I own 9 Dan Wesson 1911's in .45, 9mm, and 10mm. I buy them because they have no MIM parts and are 100% made in the USA. They are cheaper than a full blown custom, but are as close to a custom in fit in finish than i have seen. You really cant gop wrong with one, or ten of them...lol.

Re: Dan Wesson, opinions wanted

I've had my valor for about 7 months now and Im immensely impressed. A family member has several kimbers, as do I, and I've shot a few Sig 1911's as well. I gotta say the finish quality of everything about the DW is definitely beyond them both. The slide and frame fit together wonderfully, and the accuracy is exceptional.

I hope the image works I've never posted one before...

Re: Dan Wesson, opinions wanted

I have a Dan Wesson CCO and comparing it side by side with a Nightwawk Custom Talon it is a very nice pistol. Not saying that it is better than the Talon but for the price it holds it's own very well. Definetely not the last Dan Wesson that I'll own and truthfully, barring a great deal on another brand, I cannot see myself buying anything but a DW.

Re: Dan Wesson, opinions wanted

I had a Valor, & I regretted selling it. It was a great 1911 for the money.
