Today I got a chance to go out shooting with a friend of mine that I didn't even know was interested in shooting till about 3 weeks ago. He's actually pretty big into it. He was shooting an older Remington Sendero .300 Win Mag and a Ruger 10/22. I'm yet to get my first long range rifle so I was just shooting my AK and a few pistols. I shot his gun a few times at 3 liter shasta bottles that were 110 yards out and did pretty well to my surprise. The scope he was using seemed pretty nice and so did the rifle. My dad has a new sendero and he's a Leupold guy so I was kind of familiar with the set up.Then he was shooting sparklets bottles (I believe 5 gallon) at 831 yards (that was the longest we could really go). He's a pretty good shooter and was hitting the bottles consistently. I asked him about his set up and he got the Sendero on gun broker and the scope on Midway. I took a closer look at the scope when we were putting the guns away and it was a Barska SWAT. He said it was $225. I thought these were "junk"?
