DBM options (apa?)

I am thinking of finally adding DBM to my rifle. Has anyone used the APA bottom metal? Any opinions?

I have it on my .308, I like it so far. I have had no issues with it. The mag release is intuitive and very easy to use. IMHO you cant go wrong with it. Also the ALPHA Industries 10rd Morta magazines work well with this system as well.

apa's bottom metal works well-have one and it's nice

Thanks for the advice and the photos. I'll have to shoot a few manufacturers an email or two.

Many folks have told me that the surgeon is the way to go but no one has said why. Any feedback on that?

have the surgeon as well-really like the mag release mechanism-very easy to do intuitively without looking and breaking cheekweld and the extended edges on the bottom metal make it easy to feed mags
