I am still not entirely sold on the Manners minichassis. I have read several threads on here, and it seems its a mix of some like it, some dont. I honestly think I will end up with one, but I also like the idea of a full bedding job since I dont plan on swapping the action from one stock to the next.

With that being said, I am still researching the various DBM's available from Surgeon, Badger, Stiller, CDI, etc. Badger and Surgeon are up there in price, and wanted to know what do you get for you money?

I looked at the Stiller DBM, and from what I have found, it seems just as good for the money as the Surgeon and Badger. Same goes for the CDI. Plus, since I will be running a Tac30AW action, the Stiller seems like a good idea, and the saving in cost can go towards a good bedding job...

Thoughts?

When I put together a Tac30 AW I thought it best to use Stiller's DBM and pillars just in case they were made for each other when running AW mags. I have no idea if the others would have had an issue as I have not tried it, but the stiller DBM is working fine.

I don't know what's not to like about the mini-chassis if you like a more traditional type of stock. Those that aren't fully committed to the mini-chassis tend to want something like a CADEX, JAE or KRG W3. I have shot my surgeon barreled action in the pillar bedded MCM A5 it came with as well as a T3 mini-chassis. The results between the two were indistinguishable. I ended up keeping the MCM A5 (with Surgeon bottom metal) because it was easier to sell the mini-chassis. It is a modular system that you can keep with barreled actions if you are smart about your system; I was able to share it between a trued up R700 barreled action any my Surgeon barreled action.

If you're still skeptical, the best deal right now is CDI precision's group buy where he will install the system for free. You won't find a better deal than that.

Or, order a flat top (unpainted, uninletted) stock from either Manners or MCM and send your barreled action and bottom metal to Chad Dixon at LRI to have him stock your barreled action (inlet, pillar bed, paint) if you want it done from the ground up ($750).
