Check air this dead air nomad-ti that I had separate on me. The company was great about getting it fixed quickly but I’m pretty sure it was never even welded. Craftsmanship was amazing minus this issue.

No complaining here. Just showing people. Kinda a crazy miss.
Did you happen to look at the tube before firing it ? I'm not sure that I even would have thought of doing that. It looks like that one particular weld was entirely missed, I don't see any evidence of a weld (good or bad) around the circumference of the two pieces. If so, their Production and QC missed it, you missed it and if I had been in your shoes, I would have probably missed it too. Who thinks "Oh, I have to check all the welds before I go fire my new can" ?

But, the good news is that no one was injured and that D/A took care of it promptly and (hopefully) to your satisfaction. I have a number of different manufacturers cans and on the odd accasion that I have needed service/support, they have all been fantastic.

I checked it out but their matching was so good that I didn’t think to look for welds. I put 60 rounds through it before it happened. Then one shot was very loud so I looked up and half the can was gone. It flew 30 yards down range. No baffle strike or anything so I was perplexed. You can see the seam coming apart in front of it as well. It snapped back together perfectly. Probably could have shot another 60 rounds through it but didn’t want to risk it. Lol.

Just found this thread but I had the same thing happen to me on my Nomad-Ti this past weekend. I had about 100 rounds through her when 1/2 of it flew 70 yards downrange with a violent recoil impulse. I am sending it off for warranty this week. Good to hear they will make it right but a little concerning we both had the same failure.

There's really no excuse to miss a weld, but I have to hand it to the plant nonetheless. For every one or two of these that pop up, there have been tens of thousands of welds that were perfect. We've often exceeded 100K welds per month, so as much as it hurts to see this, it means we still need to do better. Thanks for being patience with as we deal with this. You should see a whole new welded baffle stack on very soon.
