I am wanting to mount my Sandman-S to a heavy contour barrel. The issue with is that the 3 lugs (as shown below) designed to lock the suppressor in place are contacting the barrel. This contact does not allow the suppressor to rotate and tighten the proper way. There is a solution to this, Dead Air has a muzzle device with a stand-off (as shown below) allowing the muzzle device to move forward. Which allows the suppressor to be correctly mounted. The real issue is finding a 5/8x24 muzzle brake with this stand-off. Can someone point me in the right direction where to purchase this muzzle brake online? I have looked at the Dead Air website for this but I am not for sure if I'm getting the right one.

The standoff is for pinning the brake or flash hider. The 5/8x24 brake does not come with the standoff per their website. The flash hider has the standoff on all the different thread pitches though.

What’s muzzle diameter of your barrel? Could have someone turn down the last bit of the barrel to clear the lugs.

Muzzle dia is 0.900"

I have a dead air muzzle brake with the stand off to pin and weld on a 14.5", so they do make them. I just bought a standard brake and thats what happened to show up so I rolled with it. I'd call Dead air, but they are for sure available.

Edit: It is a 5/8-24 thread pitch as well, it's on my 308 right now.

I'm far from a deadair muzzle brake expert, but all mine have a slight amount of material between the barrel shoulder and where suppressor locks into place. The one pictured above looks flush with barrel shoulder. I wonder if deadair produced a gen2 variation.

I want to close the loop on this to help Sandman owners. It appears that the mount that comes with the suppressor is cut flush without the slight amount of material. All the aftermarket mounts that I have purchased (key-mo brake) have a slightly raised surface area that mates with the barrels shoulder. The raised area is nowhere near the offset of the flash hider, but it is enough to prevent contact between the suppressor and shoulder.
