Rifle Scopes Debating atacr f1 5x25 vs the 7x35 for ELR

I am going the take the Gunsite xlr class in September and need to upgrade my scope as I don’t think I will have enough elevation in my kahles even with a 40 moa mount. I am leaning towards the 5x25 as it has more adjustment range than the 7x35 and I’m not sure how useful the higher mag would be. I’ve only shot to 1300 yds with my 338 lapua and opinions would be helpful. Thank you.

As has been stated many times, the 7-35 has much more elevation than is advertised on their website. Mine has about 120 moa of total travel. I have mine in a 40 moa mount 100 yard zero with a .308 and have 28.5 mils of up elevation.

Begs the question then, how much true elevation are people getting out of the 5-25?
