So. I have a complete lower for an AR 15 without an upper.

I also have a Tavor SAR 5.56.

The question is this....

Should I get a 300 BLK conversion kit for the tavor, or should I get an upper for the AR15 platform? It will be for suppressed shooting.

Well if you're gonna build the AR out, I'd form 1 the lower so you can have a nice 8" .300blk SBR since they perform so we'll at that barrel length.

Is that long enough for a heavier subsonic round to stabilize? I felt like, at one point I read It needed like 9.5 to get up to full performance. Also, The 1:8-1:7 twist is a debate.

I have a 10.5" Noveske with a 7 twist. I beleive they also have an 8.5”

Last I heard the 7 twist was better for heavy subsonics. I'd definitely build the AR upper. It would help prevent firing the wrong round through the Tavor accidentally also.

I think I am going to go with a seekins precision SBR8. It seems to fit my needs. I am trying to confirm whether it is a 1:8 or a 1:7 twist though.
