Defiance deviant question

Considering getting one of these actions for a ftr build. Right now I will be loading it single feed but don't want to limit myself in the future. My current stock is cut out for a bdl floor plate. Can I get the deviant with a cutout for aw mags and use a single shot follower with the hinged floorplats bottom metal now? If I decide to run it as a repeater I will be getting a new stock anyway.

The deviant I have is cut for aw and works with ai as well. Your idea should work just fine.

Thanks stock doc, I was concerned the score high follower and hinged floor plate assembly wouldn't work with that large of a cutout.

You do not need to get a single shot follower. I use the AW magazines in my .308 GA Precision which has the Deviant action (called Templar V2). I simply place the round on top of the magazine and it cycles perfectly. I use this feature for my long range varmint silhouette matches. Hope that helps.

Thanks, worried about making weight with the mags and thick bottom metal. Gonna be close with a factory hinged floorplate and single shot follower.
