I am thinking of building a new rifle, and was curious what opinions are on these 2 actions. I have gotten discount codes on each from various sources that are about the same. Curious as to whether one was head and shoulders above the other, or if it comes down to preference on features. Thinking of putting this in a chassis either MPA, KRG, or Orias. Probably going to be either a 6.4 x47, or 6 x 47 Lapua. Thanks for the opinions.

I think Defiance is the gold standard, that everything is compared too. Just like S&B scopes. Just my humble opinion.

Competition? 6x47 Lapua is the way to go(Any 6mm). I think MPA is the way to go if $ isn't a problem.

Pleasure? 6.5 Creedmor/6.5x47( if you reload). I'd go KRG Whiskey 3 for looks.

I'd buy either one of their folders over any other company, if thats a feature you are looking for in a chassis?

I purchased a tika ctr 6.5 creed and I'm going to put it in a bravo krg when they are available. Value route.

I would buy one of the new Havak's new rifle in 6.5 PRC if it were available!

Ive owned a Defiance and felt a Havak action at my local gun store. The Havak looks cool, bolt lift is smooth, had a great trigger on it, and i was pretty dang impressed with it except for the bolt. The Defiance has a much smoother bolt. The Havak was binding up and biting all up n down as i tried to run it.

I hear it gets better with lube and a few cycles, but since i didnt own it, i cant verify. But i can say the Defiance out of the box feels much much nicer.
