I would think he would disdain the SRS even with a Vulcan option just because it COULD be used as a 308...

*Cough* http://www.freedomgunworks.com/desert-ta...ns/prod_39.html

They are one of DTA's biggest dealers I believe.

If you check the drop down box you can get one in 6.5x47 Lapua OR 7WSM.

These guys are good to go

Hi sr90 ,

I did hear that the 300WM & the 338LM versions use the same magazine , is this correct ?

Also how about some more detailed photos , of the the bolt assembly , and the rifle stripped down ?

Later Chris

Re: desert tactical arms srs wildcat

That is correct. Our new website is going to go live in the next two weeks and the SRS user manual will be on the site as a PDF and will show disassembled views of the SRS.

Re: desert tactical arms srs wildcat

Nice.

question.

I was told there is a stroke limiter in the standard bolt face configuration to shorten the throw. Can this be taken out without affecting the funtion of the action?

Here is what im thinking. Could a guy use the 338lap/300win magazine (long action) with the standard bolt face (large rifle), remove the stroke limiter, effectivly making a standard bolt face long action (longer stroke) to feed cartridges like the 30-06 or better yet 6.5x284?

Re: desert tactical arms srs wildcat

The bolt stop can be taken out, it serves two purposes, 1 it reduces the bolt throw to a short actions movement, 2 it enhances ejection reliability for the short casings, for the long rounds they don't need it.

Hello sr90 (and fellow gunners- this is my first post)

Great product-
Any word on the 408 CheyTac chambering? You have a buyer here if you can make it happen.
What about the mono-pod?

BTW- A few days ago my SRS shot a 4 round group under 1/4" (300 win mag w/ hornady 150gr factory ammo) I couldn't pull the trigger on the 5th round- I knew that I would send it sailing.

Thanks

My snappy/pithy/insightful/funny/helpful/somewhat political signature line is forthcoming- keep an eye out for it. It will probably change your life.
