Gunsmithing Desert tech A1 handguard

Hey just joined the group today.. I was wondering if anyone could give me info on changing the handguard on the desert tech A1? Thanks

It requires a special DTA socket and a long extension. The nut is on the inside at the breach end of the handguard, and is torqued to 40 foot pounds. DTA Will sell you the socket.

Yeah I got the socket the other day.. didn’t know if it was that straight forward??
