I bought a rifle that came with a 1 piece pic rail base mounted on it. It appears to have some slope to it (taller in rear than front). How can I tell what build in elevation it has? The only markings on it are "REM 700 LA LR" etched on the underside. It also isnt left or right handed specific. Any ideas??

The rem action is lower at rear, so likely it has no slope.
Measure the heigt differance with a caliper where the rail is above the ejectionport and calculate the slope.
If you don't know how to calculate it, we can help you if you just gives us the measurements

Do you know the maker of the base or can you post a photo? Chances are that if it is a 700 "long range" base and has a 20 MOA slope. If you let me know the manufacture I can confirm with the markings.
