Rifle Scopes Dialing in MOA question. Only own mil scopes

If your dope calls for 1.4 moa up. What are you dialing. 1.4 mils is straight forward.

So for moa I can do 5 click for 1 1/4 moa or 6 clicks for 1 1/2 moa.

Go for the 1.5 MOA. You are not likely to be able to shoot 0.1 MOA difference. But, if you are able, then dial 1.5MOA and hold 0.1 MOA under.

If your dope calls for 1.4 moa up. What are you dialing. 1.4 mils is straight forward.

So for moa I can do 5 click for 1 1/4 moa or 6 clicks for 1 1/2 moa.

So if your scope is 1/4 moa clicks that is .25, .5 & .75 respectively. So you need to convert your call-out in 10ths to 1/4s, then round up or down as you see fit.

So:
1.4 -> 1.4
1.3 -> 1.25
1.6 -> 1.5
1.8-> 1.75

And so on…….
