Re: Die and reloader?
"I was thinking about getting the RCBS competition FL set dies and their Rock chucker."
That will be costly. You don't say why you want to "up grade" (or why you think they would be an up grade), so I'll ask; "Why?"
You ask what we are using, perhaps the better question is what do we wish we were using! As a long time owner of an RC press I can assure you that your present press will make ammo just as well as mine, unless it's defective in some way.
That RCBS die set brings one thing to the table (IMHO); a cute little side-loading seater die. That actually adds nothing to the quality of ammo being produced so it does nothing but at great cost. Get a Forster BR seater instead, with or without the micrometer head.
Unless you have reason to reject your present sizer die, keep it. If you want to do neck sizing, get a Lee Collet Neck Die and you won't need to dick around with expensive bushings that do no better work in a factory rifle than the Lee; sometimes not as good. Or, if your present FL sizer IS bad, get a body die to work with the Lee neck die and you will actually have something that will help you make better ammo.
