Hi There, It’s been awhile since i’ve loaded a new cartridge. However i can not figure out how to get proper OGIVE and COAL on my new forster seating die. I’m all out of adjustment and still seating bullets way too deep. Maybe i need to have my head checked. but i’m doing something wrong

When in doubt, read the instructions (see attached). I set my micro-head to '0' based on the cartridge length with the bullet touching the landes, i.e., zero 'jump.' Then I locked the locked the seating stem down. Next, I turned the micro head clockwise to indicate -.002", i.e., .002" jump. It works for me because I only use one bullet in my 6.5SCM. It may sound wonky but I can clarify with a phone call. With my 5.56mm I use 53, 69, and 77SMKs. I set up same with '0' based on the longest bullet, i.e., 77SMK. That's another discussion.
