Dies for long bullets

I'm getting into reloading. But I dont have my own setup yet. A friend has been helping me learn and do load development but we've been having trouble with his seating die, seems that the ballistic tip is bottoming out before the ogive is touching. It's a rcbs dies. Any suggestions?

1st, you need to list many more details but
2nd, you need a vld stem. If rcbs doesn’t offer it then valve grinding compound on a bullet into the seating stem to grind it away to match the buckets shape.
