I have owned a 338 Norma, and had to sell it last year due to finances. Lately I have been hearing about a 338-375 Ruger, but don't know to much about it. What is the difference of the 338-375 Ruger and if there are any advantages to it over the Norma.
At present, to me it seems like a lesser version of the 338 Norma.
Enlighten me.

Re: difference 338 Norma and 338-375 Ruger

I built one for a pro hunter. His intention was to reach out a bit further at african plains animals. Tried to talk him into using the Norma, but he did not want to change the bolt face.
The Norma brass will handle higher pressures.

The 338/375 Ruger handled the 225 to 250 g pills the best.
I have the reamer and have made dies to match.
