Difference between AI AT and AX?

I realize the obvious differences between the two (chassis and barrel twist). But I would really appreciate if someone could give some insight on the practical differences. Like if one is better than another under specific circumstances and why.

It seems to me that the AT with a 6mm or 6.5 barrel would be perfect for tactical rifle matches and save quite a bit of money over the AX. What am I missing?

Where is the cheapest place to buy these? Just curious. Saw one for the first time last weekend. It was an AT model and it was absolutely amazing.

Mile High Shooting has some demo ATs on Gunbroker for $3,500. Probably the cheapest you’ll find barring a used AE/AW rifle.
