Rifle Scopes Difference between Zeiss / Hensoldt?

Hello all!

Humble question for you:

I tried to check out via Google, what/which things are different in Zeiss and Hensoldt scopes? Lets take example: 6-24X56.
I know, that Hensoldt has 0.1Mil´s, Zeiss has 0.05Mil´s, but factory is same, Hensoldt is mil-grade scope. But do you have any information, what kind of technical things are improved/modified? Prices of Hensoldt ZF is about 20-30% higher compared to Zeiss Victory Diavari, so I understand, that there should be someting?

Hensoldt used to be its own company. Years ago Carl Zeiss, inc. bought Hensoldt for the sole purpose of turning it into their military scope division. And being built for military applications vs. hunting there will be QA and features not found on their Diavari line.

Zeiss is the parent company. Hensoldt is their military division.

Hendsoldts have more reticle travel than the Zeiss. Some magnification range of the Hendsoldts also come with FFP. The Hendsoldts also come with tactical reticles and more tactical knobs. Then I believe their is digital illumination on the Hendsoldts versus analog on the Zeiss. Maybe better cementing of the lenses.

Optical quality wise, Liberty Optics says they are just about the same.

optically, the Hensoldt stuff is the best, they are also shorter and lighter than comparable products. they are built to a much tougher spec than the victory Diavari line. the eye box is different on the hensoldt, they have target turrets, the illumination system is different. hensoldt also has 34mm tubes, with the exception of the 6-24x56, zeiss has a 30mm tube. it's a different scope all together.

Is there any difference between the Ziess Victory 6-24x56 and the Hensoldt 6-24x56??
Looks like the same scope except for the range bars in the reticle and the huge price difference!!!

Ok. Thanks! What about elevation/windage system? Is Zeiss rugged & reliable as Hensoldt?
