What type of primers do I need for reloading 40cal and 9mm? Is there a difference in the numbers (#1-1/2, #500, etc)?

Re: Difference in primers

Any small pistol (non-Magnum)primer will do. Winchester labels them as Small Pistol Primers, where as other manufacturers have numbers denoting their primers, it takes a little investigation to determine which is the object of your desire!

Re: Difference in primers

If all you can find is the magnum primers you can probably use those as well. The cup is harder but most pistols will have enough hammer to make it go bang.
