I apologize now if this has been covered...I did a couple searches and didnt find a topic to answer the questions.

I currently have a Dillon 650 set up for 45acp. I have 300BO dies and 9mm dies on the way. My question is whether or not I need to buy each of the 9mm and 300BO (or 223 with AK funnel) conversion kits. I have read that some people are using their 9mm conversion kit and simply using the AK powder funnel. Without buying the 2 complete conversion kits, the 4 parts "recommended" (plate locator, case feed adapter, funnel, etc) to make 9mm kit work cost more than the 300BO kit itself.

So....is anyone using this reliably through the 650 (the AK funnel with 9mm conversion kit) - or should I just buy the 2 kits? (I have a feeling I know the answer - but if I dont need to spend $80 on an entire conversion kit, that money can go toward powder, primers, etc.)

Thanks, Chris

Well, using that finder it seems, like I said, I would still need the 9mm kit + shell plate, locator, funnel, case feed adapter. Which is most of the kit anyway....minus the pins.

Unless someone has some first hand experience using 9mm kit with AK funnel to reload 300BO, I'll just order both and be done with it.

For 300blk you need the ak powder funnel and 223 shell plate and locator buttons. As far as 300blk case feed I have heard of guys using a combo of the large pistol case colater with the small rifle bottom piece.

I would call Brian enos. He sells all the parts individually to save a little money but in your case you might need the complete 9mm setup and then be able to piece together the 300blk.
