I am switching from ring mounts to a DIP base.

It "looks" to be way more shallow then a M700 base. I am looking for guidance on what ring height to use for both a 44mm and a 50mm OBJ.
I have a straight no-taper Lilja barrel on it. I am guessing 1"-1.2" rings.

Thanks!

Re: DIP Picatinny Base for SAKO QUAD: Ring Height Q

Just measured mine with the DIP base, its about .31 off the barrel where it meets the receiver (heavy profile) to the top of the base. I'm guessing Lilja is a straight taper at that diameter, so add .31 for your ring/scope calculations.

Edit: This is a 20MOA base as well.

For a 50mm Leupold I ended up with a set of NightForce ultra light 1" rings. My DIP base has 20 MOA of cant.
