Installed a badger tactical bolt knob at work today. Started off by cutting the existing stock knob off, then place the bolt in the mill and aligned by using dial indicater before drilling and tapping a 1/4 by 20 hole into the flat face of the bolt handle. I then made a grade 8 step up stud in the lathe with one side being 5/16 by 24 for the badger knob, and the other a 1/4 by 20 for the handle threaded hole. I used thread locker on both ends before installing and the end result came out well......tell me what u think guys.

That's a good idea, and it turned out nice. Should be strong.

Kind of a cross between the tac ops and the badger. It's like a "honey badger" bolt knob install... He just does whatever he wants.

I'm not sure if badger has that option, or would fulfill it as a request. Alls I did was took a grade 8 5/16 by 24 stud and turned half of it down in lathe to be threaded for 1/4 by 20. The same could be done with files and or dremel if one wanted to.
