I'm building my own rotary tumbler and have everything pretty much ready to go but don't know what speed it needs to turn. I'm guessing around 40-50 RPM, is this correct? I'll post pics up of the project once complete. Thanks in advance.

That sounds about right. You do not want to get it so fast that centrifugal force holds the brass and media againist the drum surface.
