Do AICS mags fit and work reliably in AX stock?

I am sure I had seen a post (sticky?) covering all the permutations of AI gear and cross-compatibility but can't find it any more.

Anyone know if AICS magazines will work in the AI AX stock (without modification)?

AICS mags will work in an AIAX chassis. The AX chassis magazines have a small lip in the front that helps the mags rock in. The AICS mags don't have that lip, but they work just fine, at least in all the AX chassis that I've seen.

Older (non lipped) AICS magazines will work in the AICS AX without problems.

AICS AX magazines will NOT work in the older AICS due to the forward lip as stated above.
