Figured I'd try this here as its a long shot, but why not try.
I'm not from Illinois, I don't live in Illinois, I'm not in any sort of trouble and this isn't even for me but it's worth me trying to do anything I can to help; it is a personal matter so this isn't anything where I'm looking for someone to help me legalize machine guns or something.
Long story short, I really want to unselfishly help someone (absolutely no personal gain/loss on my behalf regardless of the outcome) that deserves the help and if I had a little extra firepower from someone in the legislature/governors office/whatever I think it would make all the difference instead of just being lost in the shuffle.
