Both my girls shoot. The youngest not as much anymore, she had gotten into fishing.

The oldest shoots on a fairly regular basis still. Mostly pistol

I have my kids double up on the ear protection whenever I take them using foamie's and muffs. I know first hand how a shotgun can be intimidating to the young ones from the bang to the recoil it can be scary for them even when using a .410 bore shotgun.

Yes, my granddaughters shoot, and do quite well. At their last 4H State Championship match one of them was 4th and the other 12th out of 90 kids entered, said the proud grandpaw. Still got a little way to go to be on top, but then again they are only 13 and 11.

I taught both my daughters to shoot. The older one was a Navy nurse for 5 years. She asked me if she should try and qualify on the M9 and M16. I said sure I taught you how to shoot both of those... Two weeks later she calls and told me she qualified on both weapons. I think she made sharpshooter on one of them. Pretty proud about that.

She’s 17 now and it’s like pulling teeth to get her to shoot. She wants to hunt every year but the deal is she has to shoot during the summer and fall.
