Does A Tikka Need To Be Trued?

The last two we did, were not that bad. We did square up the action face mainly to increase shoulder contact, but otherwise it was same/better than a Remington 700. These were just two actions, I do not know how the others fair.

I will give it to the TRG actions, they shoot really well, however.... Their action faces have been the worse and most coarse surfaces we have ever measured.

Having just built a couple of these, I would say no.

The machine work is pretty dern good straight from the factory. On one we did mill off the chamfered face of the action and machined/installed a tombstone style recoil lug. It was done cause we can and cause its what the cst wanted. It was a light caliber so it prolly would have been fine with the stock setup.

These are pretty neat little receivers. Triggers are decent too. Buy with confidence.
