I was curious as to why so many savage m111 338 lapuas are shooting a 10 inch group at 100 yards?
does anyone know whats wrong with the savage m111?

Loose stock?
Loose Brake?
miss aligned brake?
Recoil; jerking trigger?
scope base and or rings loose
scope not tight and sliding with recoil
low end scope reticle loose from recoil?

I've got one and it doesn't shoot 10" groups at 100. More like 3/4" and 1" at 200 with me shooting it. Do you have one that's doing big groups at 100? Mine came with the rail just barely attached to it from savage. I tightened it all down and it's been great.

It's not a 338, but I had a new 308 fresh from the box, that would group 8 inches at 100. Sent it back to the factory and they recrowned it. Sorry its off subject.
