Does anyone make an 80x spotter?

Re: Does anyone make an 80x spotter?

yes/no/kinda.....

for loads and loads of information on spotting scopes spend some time in the bird watching forums.

http://www.birdforum.net/

one example, those guys live by their optics like we live by our rifles.

If your current spotter is a good one, it probably has removable eyepieces allowing you to change magnification levels (good ones have matching prices)

As far as complete outfits go, the 82+mm objectives go upwards if 75x....

Problem is bigger objective = more weight & more bulk.

If you are using a relatively inexpensive scope, don't worry about the power, worry about the glass.

From my own research, Theron optics is the telescope version of the Wonders rifle scope, small shop, great CS, product that is way way better than the price.

The Nikon Fieldscope is touted as having excellent resolution up to 75X (almost 80X). Only reason I didn't get one is the eye relief doesn't accommodate eye glasses. By all accounts a fantastic scope.
