Rifle Scopes Does Ring Height Help Mitigate Mirage?

Hello,

Setting up my GAP with Suppessor and M40 contour barrel. I have a 5.5-22x56 NXS and am using Badger 1” rings. The bell is just off the barrel and the mirage on my can is insane. Even with a wrap.

My question is, do those who shoot suppressed a lot run higher rings to help with mirage? Mine is terrible after about 10 shots in 50 degree weather.

Any insight is much appreciated.

No higher rings don’t help. Get a good suppressor cover and maybe try a mirage strap
