Re: Dog & Deer
That's all warm and fuzzy now, but when that deer grows up, watch out. That cute little fawn has already learned that dogs and people are no threat, so when it grows up to outweigh said dog or human it might just continue it's kung fu on whatever it thinks is between it and it's lilacs.
Our old neighbors found a <week old fawn and raised it with their black dog. It of course came over to our place to play with our dogs and eat our hay. It grew up too and decided to get all aggressive. It even learned to open the gate latch to let our dogs out of the fenced in yard so they all could go play together. Dogs got in trouble for "chasing game" at one point. Poor little deer ended up getting lead poisoning.
Now we live in a town where the deer have the run of the place from people's feeding and misguided toleration. Certain plants and bird feeders all end up destroyed every year. My fences get damaged. That doesn't bother me, but the little kids and pets that get attacked periodically does.
