dose anyone know about autegua arms 7.62

Re: dose anyone know about autegua arms 7.62

Correct me if I am mistaken but I recall Autauga Arms was a tactical rifle builder based in Prattville Alabama. In the late 1990's they went into partnership with Gunsite of Arizona to produce and market the UARS (Universal Accuracy Rifle Stock) stock. It was their version of Accuracy International's AICS. I believe they got sued by Accuracy International and as a result, put an end of the UARS stock production. I have one, it works well, is less expensive (I think $300.00 back then) but not as sophisticated as AICS. It did not come with a detachable mag system. Anyhow, Autauga sponsored an annual international rifle competition and built well made competitive tactical rifles for several years utilizing the UARS. I do not know what happened to them. Sniper Country did a review of the UARS in Feb 1999 if you want more info.
