Sidearms & Scatterguns Dovetail cut size on Kimber rear sight?

I purchased a Kimber Custom Covert 2 and the sights are off on elevation. Looking to replace the rear sight with a adjustable elevation sight. But I dont know what cut the sights are. Heres a link to what im looking at.

I can't tell you off hand the exact dimensions but I think it is actually referred to as a kimber cut rear sight.

Called kimber and got the size. 60degrees x .3605" x .194"

so the sight i was looking at wont fit. kimber might take care of it for me. still lookn for one that will fit

Replace the front sight instead. Getting the rear sight off is not going to be fun.

Agree, Front sight change out is the right solution if its shooting high or low. You can buy differnt height front sights for the Kimber front dovetail.

Everything I have read said replacing the front sight was much harder to do than the rear...

They lied. A Dawson sight will come with an install tool. The rear sight is a BITCH to get off of a kimber...they're very tight an installed with a hydraulic press.

Wow that was extremely helpful. If kimber doesnt come through to do this for me for free then I will go this route! Even had a "How to" to do it yourself.
